Stock Loan 101 - Use of Proceeds

There are almost no limits in which the proceeds from a stock loan or stock secured equity line of credit can be used. There is however one exception. In most cases the proceeds from a stock loan or stock collateralized debt instrument cannot be used for the purchase of securities that are marginable.

In any other scenario the sky is the limit for how loan proceeds can be used.
